<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the utility efficiency of light better, as compored to that of a conventional spatial light modulation apparatus composed of a liquid crystal panel. <P>SOLUTION: The spatial light modulation apparatus 3 has a plurality of elements 10 arranged two dimensionally on a substrate 11. Each element 10 is provided with a rotating plate 12, of which the attitude regarding the angle is variable with respect to the substrate 11, and an optical filter 13 provided on the rotating plate 12. The elements 10, other than the optical filter 13 constitute a microactuator. The optical filter 13 is a transmission type or a reflection-type optical filter having wavelength selectivity characteristic. The wavelength selectivity characteristic of the optical filter 13 varies according to the incident angle of the light incident on the optical filter 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
