PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon nanohorn composite which can prevent corrosion or elution of an included metal, an included its oxide or the like even under an acidic condition or in an organic solvent and maintains electrical conductivity, and whose surface is not oxidized; and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: A small size opening is formed in each carbon nanohorn, and a metal, an oxide, a functional molecule, or the like is included in the carbon nanohorn. Thereafter, the opening is closed by a heat treatment in vacuum or an inert gas.
