PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact telephoto zoom lens suitable for a single-lens reflex camera using a solid-state imager, having a zoom ratio of about 3.5, a field angle of≥29°at a wide-angle end, and having a vibration prevention function. SOLUTION: The zoom lens with the vibration prevention function includes, in order from an object side, a first lens group G1 having positive refractive power, a second lens group G2 having negative refractive power, and a third lens group G3 having positive refractive power, and in the case of varying the power from a wide-angle end state W to a telephoto end state T, a distance between the first lens group and the second lens group is increased, and a distance between the second lens group and the third lens group is reduced. The third lens group comprises, in order from the object side, a 31st lens group G31 having positive refractive power, a 32nd lens group G32 having negative refractive power and a 33rd lens group G33. By moving only the 32nd lens group in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis, image blurring on an image surface I caused by a camera shake is corrected, and the zoom lens satisfies prescribed conditions.
