PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an accumulation and separation mechanism while maintaining reliable accumulation and separation performance of bills, whereas mechanism miniaturization is limited in a conventional processor due to necessity of the mounting space of an impeller disposed in a feeding part, and high-speed accumulation of bills cannot be attained even if device miniaturization is attained because bill rear ends are regulated by use of an easy loop sheet. SOLUTION: The bill processor comprises a storage space for storing bills, a bill carrying means for feeding the bills into the storage space and feeding the bills out of the storage space; a bill passage detection means for detecting passage of the bills; and a bill regulation means for pressing and regulating the bills in the storage space. The bill regulation means continues to press a preceding bill just after at least the preceding bill is released from holding by the bill carrying means and perfectly fed into the storage space, separates from the preceding bill when the following bill is fed into the storage space, and continues to press the following bill just after the following bill is released from holding by the bill carrying means and perfectly fed into the storage space.
