PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulation structure by filling a heat insulating material having also a sound absorbing function inside a wall body thereby offering an easier construction work and reducing a construction cost without decreasing an interior room space. SOLUTION: Sound insulating cavity portions 10 etc. with one end made open and another end closed are installed along a surface of a wall body 1 in the sound insulation structure 3. In the wall body 1, openings 30 etc. corresponding to open holes 14 etc. are formed at one end side of the cavity portions 10 etc. to connect an indoor space 31 with the cavity portions 10 etc., and to guide and absorb a sound such as an impact noise to floor or the like in an indoor space 31.
