PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic metal particle composite material used for stably manufacturing a carbon nanostructure having a more uniform shape, and a manufacturing method of the catalytic metal particle composite material. SOLUTION: The catalytic metal particle composite material is characterized in that a large number of almost spherical metal particles, which have a diameter larger than the thickness of a film based on a noble metal, are dispersed in the film based on the noble metal and a part of the almost spherical metal particles is exposed to one side of the film while another part of the almost spherical metal particles is exposed to the other surface of the film.
