A web print unit (205-1) includes a first plate cylinder (220-1a), a first blanket cylinder (215-1a) for contacting the first plate cylinder (220-1a), a second blanket cylinder (215-1b), and a second plate cylinder (220-1b), for contacting the second blanket cylinder (215-1b). A web (210) to be printed passes between the first blanket cylinder (215-1a) and the second blanket cylinder (215-1b) at a blanket to blanket location, the first (215-1a) and second (215-1b) blanket cylinders are capable of being thrown apart. An air source (230, 235) is located on a side of the web (210) and oriented to blow air upstream toward the blanket to blanket location while the blanket cylinders rotate.
