<p>A method and an apparatus for forwarding station information in a wireless mesh network are provided to reduce a load of the network when informing the separation of a station from a mesh access point area to other nodes. An apparatus for forwarding station information in a wireless mesh network includes a mesh access point(910) and a mesh portal(930). The mesh point includes a sensor(911), a message generator(912), and a request unit(913). The message generator(912) generates a disassociation message indicating that a station is disassociated from the mesh access point(910) when the disassociation of the station is sensed, and forwards the disassociation message to the request unit(913). The request unit(913) forwards the received disassociation message to the mesh portal(930) as a root node along a tree path, and requests the mesh portal(930) to broadcast the corresponding message to a wireless mesh network(920).</p> |
