<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which the scale of hardware is not increased even when planes for overlay on a base image are not prepared and the number of the overlaid images is increased. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device comprises: a means for controlling positions/sizes of two or more kinds of images; a means for controlling priority of overlaying the two or more kinds of images on the base image; a means for classifying two or more kinds of image signals into (m) pieces of groups and overlaying the corresponding image signals on an image plane for a specified chroma key in a group unit of the (m) pieces; and an image plane insertion means for inserting the image planes for the chroma key corresponding to the two or more kinds of images on the base image in an image plane color for the same chroma key in a group unit of the (m) pieces according to control by the means of controlling the positions/sizes of the images and by the means of controlling the priority of overlaying the images, and sequentially cascades the outputs of the insertion means to the overlaying means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
