<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that suitably and automatically adjusts an angle-of-view control filter according to, for example, whether a display surface is used longitudinally or laterally. <P>SOLUTION: The display device has the rectangular display surface 11, and a longitudinal filter 111 having such properties that it is easy to view the display surface from a position shifted from the front along the length and it is hard to view the display surface from a position shifting orthogonally to the length and a lateral filter 112 having such properties that it is hard to view from the position shifting from the front along the length and it is easy to view the display surface from the position shifting orthogonally to the length are provided side by side. The display device includes a changeover switch 14 for making the longitudinal filter 111 and lateral filter 112 function exclusively selectively so that the display surface 11 can not be peeped by a neighbor whether the display surface 11 is used longitudinally or laterally. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
