<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording medium featuring excellent properties in terms of resistance to water/plasticizer, print traveling (resistance to head tailings/sticking), print gloss, developing sensitivity and image quality. <P>SOLUTION: This heat-sensitive recording medium has a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a colorless or pale-color electron-donative leuco dye and an electron-receptive developer, and a protecting layer as an outermost layer, formed on a support. In addition, an intermediate layer is formed between a heat-sensitive developing layer and the protecting layer, and the intermediate layer contains a modified polyvinyl alcohol, an epichlorohydrin-based resin and a polyamine/amide-based resin, and does not contain a pigment. It is possible to make available the heat-sensitive recording medium showing excellent resistance to water/plasticizer, etc. by forming the intermediate layer between the heat-sensitive recording layer and the protecting layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
