<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell in which a local submerged region is hard to occur even if a current value per surface area of a power generating layer member is set high by improving draining characteristics in a direction along a surface of the power generating layer member. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel diffusion layer 6 is arranged on an upper face side and an oxygen flow passage material 2 is arranged on a lower face side of a membrane electrode assembly 4. The oxygen flow passage material 2 supplies oxygen in the atmosphere taken in from an air intake port formed on a side face opposing to a power generating cell to the membrane electrode assembly 4. A diffusion layer 3 of the carbon particles is formed on a surface of the oxygen flow passage material 2, and numerous parallel drain ditches 3M are formed in a face contacted with the membrane electrode assembly 4 of the diffusion layer 3. By making a groove width 30 μm, product water of the membrane electrode assembly 4 is strongly collected and submersion (flooding) of the membrane electrode assembly 4 can be evaded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
