<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity of a memory card by efficiently forming a special shape portion and a chamfer portion. <P>SOLUTION: The memory card molding apparatus includes a retention means for retaining the memory card, and a process means for processing the memory card to a desired shape by cutting the side faces of the memory card retained by the retention means. The process means includes a cutting tool 30 having a cutting grindstone of a shape corresponding to the desired shape of the memory card, a spindle unit including a rotatable spindle 320 supporting the cutting tool 30, and a working and feeding portion for relatively working and feeding the spindle unit and the retention means in the vertical direction to the center of axis of the spindle 320. Using the memory card molding apparatus, the shape of the cutting grindstone 301 is transferred onto the memory card 5, so that a special shape portions 50a, 50b and a chamfer portion 51 are formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
