PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain speeding up and increase in efficiency of a multicast packet in a wireless LAN device. SOLUTION: In the wireless LAN device in which a wireless base station and a plurality of wireless terminals constitute a wireless LAN and the base station and the wireless terminals support a plurality of transmission rates used for communication, the wireless base station has a transmission rate storage means for storing transmission rates in communication of a wireless terminal in connection and a selection means for selecting the minimum transmission rate in transmission rates stored in the transmission rate storage means when the multicast packet is transmitted.
