<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suitable performance control technique for a game machine provided with two or more kinds of game properties. <P>SOLUTION: When a game ball falls into a normal motor-driven accessory ball entrance during the variable display of special patterns and the first stage of a second special game is started, the variable display of the special patterns is tentatively stopped. In the meantime, a performance image displayed as a moving image in linkage with the variable display of the special patterns is continued to be displayed as the moving image even while the variable display of the special patterns is tentatively stopped. After the first stage, when the second special game is ended without shifting to a second stage, the variable display of the special patterns is restarted. Thus, the variation time of the special patterns becomes variable. In performance patterns indicating the moving image reproduction process of the performance image, a spare pattern is included beforehand.
