PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, which executes data writing processing so that data consistency is never lost in the case of a failure in a disk device group constituting a RAID. SOLUTION: The RAID controller 1 attains redundancy by striping a plurality of disk devices 12. When a data write is requested, while one disk fails, to a stripe containing an area which causes a media error on other disk devices, the data write is executed without reproduction of parity data if the write is targeted to the defective disk device, and an area for recording the parity data is shifted to a media error state.
