PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner adhesion to a drum by positioning a charge roller Vpp of an imaging device of an image forming apparatus close to a point of inflection. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus, in which the charge roller 2 of surface roughness of Rz≥5μm or more is arranged at the circumference of a photoreceptor drum 1 in an image forming section and used by bringing the charge roller 2 into contact with the photoreceptor drum 2, detectes a drive period of the charge roller 2 and increasing and decreasing a prescribed voltage in response to the drive period.
