PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent corrosion of a pipe end face of an insertion pipe after cutting, a bottom surface and side surfaces of an engagement groove for an insert-opening ring with one corrosion prevention means and to prevent an outer peripheral portion of the corrosion prevention means for a pipe end part at a slot portion of the insert-opening ring from being crinkled or lifted when securing the insert-opening ring. SOLUTION: The engagement groove 3A is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the pipe end part of the metallic insertion pipe 3. The insertion-opening ring 7 with a slit includes a projection 7B that is fitted in the engagement groove 3A when the insertion-opening ring 7 is capped over the pipe end part of the insertion pipe 3 after cutting. The corrosion prevention means for the pipe end part to prevent corrosion of the engagement groove 3A and the pipe end surface 3B of the insertion pipe 3, comprises the outer peripheral portion 1A laid on the outer peripheral surface of the pipe end part, a side face portion 1B laid on the pipe end face, an inner peripheral portion 1C laid on an inner peripheral surface of the pipe end part, and a cover 2 arranged on an external surface of the outer peripheral portion 1A. By locating the slit of the insert-opening ring 7 on the cover 2 when securing the insert-opening ring 7 to the pipe end part, the cover 2 prevents the outer peripheral portion 1A at the slit portion from crinkling or upfloating.
