PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate energy loss by the reciprocating motion of a piston by converting a reciprocating motion into a rotating motion. SOLUTION: In this heat engine, two rotors 1, 2 with different diameters on which toothed projections are formed are so restrained that they can be rotated at an equal angular velocity. A working fluid is introduced into an expansion chamber surrounded by the two rotors, a fixed wall, and a closing valve. The working fluid is changed in volume by heating or cooling.
