PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile driver which ensures both front stability at work and rear stability at transportation even if an auger or leader is relatively bigger, does not increase a full-equipped weight, and is superior in transportability. SOLUTION: According to the pile driver 1, an upper swiveling body 3 is disposed to be capable of swiveling on the top of a lower traveling body 2, and a pair of outriggers 7 and 7 are disposed at the front and back of the upper swiveling body 3, respectively, where a counter weight 8 is attached detachably to each outrigger 7. When a leader 6 is erected at the front of the lower traveling body 2, the counter weight 8 is attached to the outrigger 7 located at the back of the upper swiveling body 3. When the leader 6 is laid down at the back of the lower traveling body 2, the counter weight 8 is attached to the outrigger 7 located at the front of the upper swiveling body 3.
