<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device 1 which enables the user to easily interrupt a private printing job and later, restart it in the way that efficient performance of the printing process can be achieved with successful operability, even when the user leaves the site of the imaging device 1 during executing the private printing job. <P>SOLUTION: This imaging device 1 executes the private printing job in compliance with the request of the authenticated user under user authentication. Further, the device 1 interrupts the private printing job during its execution, and keeps the printing status at the time of the interruption, in case the user requests the interruption of the private printing job during its execution or the device 1 detects that the user has left the site of the device 1 during executing the private printing job.
