<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film with which the generation of an emission line and dark line can be prevented and luminance can be improved in a planar light source device used for a liquid crystal display and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The optical sheet which is a sheet 11 constituted of a dispersion phase 12b and a continuous phase 12a constituted of a transparent material and is prepared by forming a prism section 13, disposed regularly with a plurality of sectionally triangular prism units in the longitudinal and/or the transverse direction is formed on at least one surface. The prism section 13 may be constituted of a plurality of prism sequences, formed juxtaposed. The dispersion phase may be of an anisotropic shape that is greater than 1 in the average aspect ratio. The sheet having such an elliptic dispersion phase is the sheet constituted of the prism section 13 formed juxtaposed with a plurality of the prism sequences and a flat base section 14, in which the major axis direction of the dispersion phase is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the prism sequences and is substantially parallel to the surface direction of the prism section 13 in the prism section and may be substantially parallel to the surface direction of the base section in the base section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
