<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact power transmission apparatus, capable of constructing a device for recognizing a power receiving unit in a power transmission unit while simplifying the structure on the power receiving unit side and suppressing its manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the noncontact power transmission apparatus of the present invention, one power transmission unit 1 can perform power transmission in no contact to two or more kinds of power receiving units 2 by using electromagnetic induction. The power transmission unit 1 recognizes that the power receiving unit 2 is present in a power transmittable range at the time of power transmission, or recognizes the kind or model of the power receiving unit 2 to which power transmission can be performed and performs appropriate power transmission to the power receiving unit 2 based on the recognition result. The recognition of the power receiving unit 2 by the power transmission unit 1 is performed by a combination of at least one Hall element provided in the power transmission unit 1 and at least one magnet provided on the power receiving unit 2 side in conformation to the Hall element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
