PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for installing a vibration motor such that vibration acceleration of the vibration motor is maximized in the thickness direction of a portable terminal, and for securing the vibration motor while decreasing the number of components. SOLUTION: The structure for installing a vibration motor comprises: a case 200 consisting of a front case 201 and a rear case 202, and having a thickness between the rear surface 901 of the front case 201 and the rear surface 902 of the rear case 202; and a vibration motor 100 secured in the inner space 203 of the front case 201 and the rear case 202 such that vibration in the direction of maximum amplitude generates vibration at least in the thickness direction of the case 200. The first face 101 of the vibration motor 100 vibrating in the direction of maximum amplitude is touched to the rear surface 901 of the front case 201, and the second face 102 of the vibration motor 100 vibrating in the direction of maximum amplitude is also touched to the rear surface 902 of the rear case 202.
