PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video information display which informs information about a video image which is currently picked up. SOLUTION: A luminance level is calculated by a luminance conversion equation from an R signal, a G signal and a B signal from an optional detection area of the video image which is currently picked up. In addition, the video information display is constituted so as to calculate color temperatures from image ratio curves at each color temperature and to display the color temperatures as character information on the display.
