PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain confectionery having palate feeling close to that of potato chips and having bread as the material. SOLUTION: The processed product (snack confectionery before seasoning) having a curled periphery is obtained by subjecting bread edges (material comprising a granular body) 10 having a moisture content rate of≥10 mass% to pressurizing heat process with a press device 2, removing the product from the press device 2 when a moisture content rate becomes a proper value (6.0 mass% or above and less than that of the material), and drying the product with a hot-air dryer 3 to bring to about 5 mass%.
