PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire which is excellent in bondability by using a bamboo blind texture, for which an organic fiber having excellent dynamic characteristics and high thermal shrinking characteristics is used as a warp, is used as a carcass, and of which the high speed durability and the steering stability have been improved. SOLUTION: A carcass cord which constitutes a carcass layer contains at least 50 mass% of a poly-ketone fiber. The maximum thermal shrinking stress of the cord is 0.1 to 1.8 cN/dtex, and the thickness of one layer of the carcass layer is in a range represented by equation (I), the thickness of the carcass layer (mm)=D×(1+2×A). A squeegee rubber is arranged at least at a part in a space between the carcass layer and an inner liner layer, and/or between the carcass layer and a side rubber layer from a tire belt end lower section to a side wall section for this pneumatic radial tire.
