METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MERGING DATA OBJECTS

A method and a device for merging data objects are provided to merge the data objects such as a folder, an image file, and a text file at the same level through a convenient user interface. The user interface(230) receives a user command for merging two data objects. A controller(240) merges contents of two data object by a command from user interface and displays a merging result to a screen of a display part(220). If the user drags/drops the first data object on the second data object by using an input device(210), the user interface recognizes dragging/dropping as the merging command for two data objects. If two data objects are the folder, the controller moves all data objects included in the folder corresponding to the first data object to the folder corresponding to the second data object.
