A digital camera is provided to perform a flash shot and a non-flash shot continuously for the same scene under an appropriate exposure condition and compare an image captured by the flash shot with an image captured by the non-flash shot. A digital camera(2) has a continuous photographing mode in which a photographing unit performs a series of continuous photographing operations including at least one non-flash shot and at least one flash shot according to a shutter release operation. The flash photographing operation is carried out in synchronization with flash light generated by a flash unit(13). The digital camera includes an exposure determination unit for determining an exposure condition of the photographing unit. The exposure determination unit determines a common exposure condition for the non-flash shot and the flash shot.
