<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carnitine derivative having a weak side effect and an excellent neutral-fat reducing effect, an excellent anti-obesity drug having a weak side effect, a food preparation, and a cosmetic, each comprising the derivative. <P>SOLUTION: The carnitine derivative is a derivative comprising carnitine and a fatty acid. The derivative is obtained by alkaline reduction of a fermented product prepared by fermenting an admixture of an edible fish, crushed soybeans, and yeast. The anti-obesity drug comprises the carnitine derivative having a neutral-fat reducing effect as an essential ingredient. The food preparation is comprised of a composition comprising 0.01 to 0.1 part by weight of an extract of Banaba leaves and 0.03 to 3 parts by weight of an extract of green tea leaves relative to 1 part by weight of the carnitine derivative. The cosmetics is a cosmetic having a cellulite reducing effect which is comprised of a composition comprising 0.03 to 3 parts by weight of an extract of persimmon leaves relative to 1 part by weight of the carnitine derivative. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
