<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system capable of effectively utilizing storage resources on a slave unit. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system comprises a plurality of image forming units connected with one other as a master unit and a slave unit, wherein image data read by the master unit is transmitted to the slave unit to make the master unit and the slave unit share a specified number of jobs with each other. The system has a zone-extracting/collectively-copying mode of extracting a certain zone from N pieces of the image data read by the master unit and collectively printing the extracted image data, and is provided with a control means for making a control of transferring the image data collected in the slave unit from the master unit when the zone-extracting/collectively-copying mode is executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
