PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein assembly man-hours are increased and cost rises because a position detection means for detecting the position of a correction lens is constituted of many components in the conventional image blur correcting device. SOLUTION: The image blur correcting device is provided with the correction lens 17, capable of moving in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis L of a lens system 2; a first guide means for guiding the correction lens in a first direction X; a second guide means for guiding the correction lens in a second direction Y; first and second driving means for moving the correction lens; and Hall elements 41 and 42 for detecting the position of the correction lens. The first and the second driving means comprise first and second coils 33 and 34, a magnet 45 imparting magnetic force to the first and the second coils and a yoke 46. The first and the second coils 33 and 34 are arranged to be crossed and superimposed on each other so that the direction of the driving force generated, in the driving force generating parts of the respective coils by the action of the magnetic force of the magnet, is directed to the first direction X and the second direction Y.
