PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a class-D amplifier which can be accomplished without using any high pressure resistance process. SOLUTION: A modulation circuit PCM within an integrated circuit IC1 to which a standard power VD1 (e.g., 5V) is supplied, performs PWM modulation on an input signal SIN and outputs a pulse signal SP1. This pulse signal SP1 is given through an inverter IVA to a potential shift circuit SFT, level-converted into pulse signal with a high power supply VB (e.g., 50V) with a reference, and then given to an integrated circuit IC2 which is operated by a standard power supply VD2 (e.g., 5V) with the high power supply VB as a reference, and the integrated circuit IC2 drives a power MOS transistor TP. On the other hand, the pulse signal SP1 is given through an inverter IVB and an AND gate circuit ANN to a power MOS transistor TN. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
