PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manage setting when photographing and a storage destination of photographed image data in an image processing apparatus for controlling an imaging apparatus to perform remote photographing and its control method. SOLUTION: The storage destination of an image in an application for remotely controlling the imaging apparatus and setting for controlling a photographing operation of the imaging apparatus are associated with a keyword and unitarily managed. Thus, a desired photographing mode and the storage destination of an image photographed in the photographing mode can be collectively set and in addition, the photographed image is easily managed.
