PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion compensation circuit capable of performing non-linear distortion compensation with high accuracy even in an ultra-high frequency range of a wide band. SOLUTION: A distortion generating circuit generates distortion component data for compensating non-linear distortion of a high-frequency amplifier. The circuit consists of a memory matrix 51, a level comparator 52 and a D/A converter 53. The memory matrix 51 stores the distortion component data based on an even number order polynominal corresponding to an envelope level value for each line in a horizontal direction. The level comparator 52 compares the envelope level with a plurality of reference voltages, and generates a line selecting signal for selecting any one of the lines in the memory matrix 51, on the basis of this. The D/A converter 53 converts the distortion component data based on the read even number order polynominal into an analog signal. In this way, the wavelength of the distortion component can be output in substantially real time, and the non-linear distortion compensation with high accuracy can be performed even in the ultra-high frequency and the ultra-wide band.
