PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snap fastener attaching machine capable of precisely preventing a diameter-enlarged deformation part from being restored in the reverse direction of a pressurizing direction by a hitting-in tool by the elasticity of a synthetic resin when the tip of protrusion of a rivet member of a synthetic resin is hit by the hitting tool to transform the tip so as to enlarge the diameter (flange formation). SOLUTION: The hitting tool 9 for hitting the protrusion (a) is constituted so as to stop for a prescribed time in a state of the tip part of the protrusion transformed so as to enlarge the diameter in the snap fastener attaching machine regulated so as to caulk the rivet member A and a fitting member B in a sandwiching state of a sheet-shaped member C by deforming the tip part of the protrusion (a) so as to enlarge the diameter by hitting the protrusion (a) of the rivet member A of the synthetic resin inserted into a through hole of the fitting member B of a synthetic resin by the hitting tool 9.
