[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An interrogator (100) for transmitting/receiving information to and from a plurality of radio tags (Ts) having an IC circuit section (150) and an antenna (151) comprises an AM modulation section (24) for generating a response request command to acquire the radio tag information on the IC circuit section (150), high-frequency transmission/reception sections (34A to 34D) and antenna elements (1A to 1D) capable of transmitting the response request command to the radio tags (Ts) and of receiving response signals transmitted from the radio tags (Ts) according to the response request command, while dividing the response signal into a plurality of the identification slots, a control procedure of Step S5 of setting a communication condition under which the information is transmitted/received to and from the radio tags (Ts), and a number-of-slots control section (47) for controlling the number of identification slots (M) under the communication condition.</p> |
