PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze a cause of failure on the apparatus level, with respect to causes of failure in a product manufacturing process. SOLUTION: A failure analysis system for product manufacturing having a quality control database in which: various material data necessary for the product manufacturing; manufacturing process data for a group of apparatuses; manufacturing apparatus historical data in which a discrete apparatus is treated as a unit; and partitioned failure data in which failure information of products and intermediate products is partitioned according to respective kinds of failure are intensively stored, and having: a discrete product failure information acquiring means to totalize the number of failure for discrete manufactured products as units and for discrete failure classifications from the data stored in the quality control database; discrete manufacturing apparatus failure information acquiring means to totalize the number of failure for discrete manufacturing apparatuses as units and for discrete failure classifications from the data stored in the quality control database; and a display means to display the discrete product failure data and the discrete manufacturing apparatus failure data on a monitor screen is provided.
