PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-reflecting element providing various colors even by a single light-reflecting element; and to provide a cylindrical body having a coated layer of the light-reflecting element.

SOLUTION: The light-reflecting element for coating the tubular body to be mixed in a surface-coating layer of a rod body A is constituted of a metal-reflecting layer 3a and an interfering thin film layer 3b formed on the reflection face of the metal-reflecting layer 3a, and the surface of the interfering thin film 3b is formed into a corrugated surface 3c.
