<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable system for cleaning an exhaust gas which can efficiently remove NOx in the exhaust gas in a broad temperature range. <P>SOLUTION: The system for cleaning the exhaust gas S1 is characterized in that a plasma device (plasma reactor 1) is arranged on the upstream side of an NOx reduction catalyst 7 in the flow passage (piping P) of the exhaust gas, and that a cracking catalyst 6 is arranged on the upstream side of the NOx reduction catalyst 7. In the system for cleaning the exhaust gas S1, cracking of hydrocarbon contained in the exhaust gas by a cracking catalyst 6 prevents the hydrocarbon from depositing onto the NOx reduction catalyst 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
