<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element advantageous in terms of its simplification, reduction of cost and low power consumption while preventing the occurrence of eccentricity. <P>SOLUTION: The optical element 10 includes a container 12, first and second liquids 14 and 16, a first electrode 18, a second electrode 20 and a voltage applying means 22. The second electrode 20 is constituted of a plurality of electrode parts 40 extended radially centering on a single virtual axis 38 extended in the thickness direction of the container 12 on a plane orthogonal to the thickness direction of the container 12, and a first non-electrode part 42 where the electrode part 40 is not formed is formed between the adjacent electrode parts 40 in the periphery direction of the virtual axis 38. Each electrode part 40 and each first non-electrode part 42 each have width along in the periphery direction of the virtual axis 38, and each of the electrode part 40 is formed so that its width may get larger and larger toward the outer side in a radial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
