<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal press-fitting structure hardly producing resin abrasion powder when press-fitting a metal terminal in a resin component. <P>SOLUTION: This terminal press-fitting structure is composed by pressing, in the resin component with a press-fitting hole formed therein, the metal terminal 1 having flat base parts 51 each having one end reduced in width, and a projecting part 20 extended along the center line of each flat base part 51 from the other end side on the opposite side to the one end in the direction of the center line. The projecting part 20 has the upper surface formed nearly in parallel with the flat base parts 51, and two side surfaces 500 of the projecting parts extending in the direction of the center line; the two side surfaces 500 of the projecting part are formed by having a taper angle in the press-in direction and the thickness direction of the metal terminal 1; the width of the press-fitting hole of the resin component is larger than that of the metal terminal 1; a groove for fitting the projecting part 20 of the metal terminal 1 therein is formed on one surface of the press-fitting hole; and, after the press-fitting is finished, the back surface 10 of the metal terminal contacts a surface of the press-fitting hole on the side facing to the grooved surface, and a slight space is created between each edge in the width direction of the flat base part 51 and the corresponding surface in the width direction of the press-fitting hole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
