PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to join molybdenum to be used as the cold cathode and molybdenum and tungsten to be used as the glass sealing metal easily and economically and with high reliability when molybdenum is used for a cold cathode as an electrode of a cold cathode fluorescent discharge lamp, and molybdenum and tungsten are used as a glass sealing metal. SOLUTION: In order to join molybdenum to be used as the cathode and molybdenum, tungsten, and Fe-Ni-Co alloy to be used as the sealing metal, a part of molybdenum to be used as the cathode is fused and supplied to an interface between molybdenum, tungsten, and the Fe-Ni-Co alloy.
