PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure contact joint connector capable of coping with electric wires of a plurality of sizes, and having high reliability of connection. SOLUTION: At assembly, covered electric wires 5, 6 to be connected are arranged respectively on each of covering cutting grooves 3a at the lower side of wire pressing grooves 4a, 4b of the corresponding holder 4. Then, the holder 4 fixed to a lid 2 is depressed on these covered wires 5, 6. As the lid 2 is depressed strongly to the bottom 1, the small diameter wires 5 are pushed down to the narrow groove part at lower side of each covering cutting groove 3a and the larger diameter wires 6 are pushed to the wider width part above it, and the respective insulation coverings 5a, 6a are cut by a cutting blade of the inner edge part of the covering cutting groove 3a of a bus bar 3. As a result, core wires 5b, 6b of the wires 5, 6 contact the bus bar 3, and the core wires 5b, 6b of four pieces of electric wires 5, 6 are electrically connected through the bus bar 3.
