PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella supporting device easy to mount/dismount on/from a tripod and superior in operability. SOLUTION: The umbrella supporting device 1 comprises a pair of clampers 11 turnably connected to each other via a shaft member 10 for clamping the elevation lever of the tripod, and a coil spring 12 for energizing both clampers 11 in a lever clamping direction. Between both clampers 11, an umbrella support 13 is mounted via the shaft member 10 for supporting an umbrella. The umbrella supporting device 1 has a resistance reducing means 14 for reducing resistance based on the energization of the coil spring 12 during turning both clampers 11 against the resistance based on the energization of the coil spring 12.
