The invention includes: methods for identifying cell boundaries in comic art works; methods for defining motion paths for panning/scrolling a viewing window over comic art material; methods for facilitating the production of such slideshows by means of automated storyboarding of clips and the use of hierarchical timeline displays allowing timeline sections to be collapsed and expanded; the application of visual zoom effects to slideshow content and slideshow products incorporating such zoom effects.
