A change speed hydromechanical gear comprises a pump P supplying pressure liquid to parallel motors M 1 , M 2 , M 3 selectively clutched at E 1 , E 2 , E 3 to input shafts A 1 , A 2 , A 3 of a fixed ratio gear train. The motors which are not connected to the gear train may, as shown, have their output shafts held by disc brakes F 1 , F 2 , F 3 or may be hydraulically disconnected from the pump P. The clutches and brakes are fluid operated. One or more motors may be connected to the gear train so that with n motors 2n-1 speed ratios are provided. |
