PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to the realization of smooth traffic stream by speedily grasping the contents or change of traffic information at a desired spot from traffic information received by a vehicle information and communication system (VICS) or the like. SOLUTION: At the upper right corner of the picture 80 displayed on a display, an indication 84 of time received from a VICS receiver and an indicator 86 corresponding to points A, B and C registered under that indication 84 are existent. The spot of the symbol A in the indicator 86 is colored in red and shows traffic jamming, the spot of the symbol B is colored in orange and shows congestion, and the spot of the symbol C is colored in blue and shows the smooth traffic stream. Therefore, a driver can easily know the traffic information at the spot set by himself/hersel from the color of the indicator 86, driving is enabled while previously considering the route of detour before the spot of jamming, congestion or closing appears on a map, no confused driving or erroneous driving occurs and the traffic information can be truely effectively utilized. |
