An intravascular devices that can be injected into the bloodstream of a human or animal body, to deliver at least one drug inside the human or animal body, comprising:
-- a membrane defining a closed space inside it;
-- a nano-capacitor comprising a ferroelectric body and means to generate, from outside the human or animal body, an electric potential through the nano-capacitor; and
-- a drug,
wherein the drug and the nano-capacitor are contained inside the membrane, and the electric potential generated by the nano-capacitor gives rise to a phenomenon of electroporation of the membrane with consequent drug release.
