The arrangement consists of an illumination unit, an optical imaging system (4), an evaluation unit, a central control unit (6) and an output unit (7). The illumination unit produces illumination that varies with time and/or position. The illumination unit consists of an illumination source and an optoelectronic component. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a method of illuminating a human eye.
